Problem
To upgrade all of the heating, cooling and ventilation building management control schemes within these properties to ensure Year 2000 Compliance, simultaneously ensuring compatibility between all the Branches by utilising products from a single manufacturer. All site activities were carried out during normal working hours and with minimum impact to the working environment.
Solution
We undertook a 'Fast Track Plan' to survey, design, install and commission the initial 115 Branches within a nine week period.
- Geographical spread between Tyneside in the north and Truro in the south, Great Yarmouth in the east and Aberystwyth in the west.
- Following an extensive review of various systems, the decision was taken to use Trend Products based on their technical capability and cost.
- Central and Regional monitoring and control is now achieved by the implementation of graphic based Supervisor Packages utilising remote interrogation techniques.
Outcome
In addition to compliance being achieved, the newly implemented system will provide a regime of Energy Conservation through the installation of monitoring equipment that will provide a source of information for Energy targeting purposes.
Comments
Concord Controls are providing central bureau monitoring as well as implementing a Planned Preventative Maintenance regime for the branch networks throughout the UK.
